Ayurveda; ‘The Science of Life’
Ayurveda, also known as the “Science of Life” in Sanskrit is a collection of ancient wisdom teachings originating in India. Health is looked at in a holistic manner and utilizes nutrition, physical movement, meditation and development of higher consciousness as a way of maintaining optimum health of our physical, psychological and spiritual selves. Guidelines for diet, exercise and mental/spiritual practices are individualized to meet the unique mind-body constitution (dosha) of an individual. As a certified Chopra health instructor, I will work with you to help you optimize your nutrition as well as guide you in selecting activities that take advantage of your physical constitution to provide your body with the most benefit.
